We serve others with our time and talents as a way of Sharing God’s Word, Showing God’s Love, and Serving God. The following ministry teams provide opportunities for all to use our gifts to assist our congregation in fulfilling this mission. To learn more or join a team, please contact the church office.
Benevolence & Mission – facilitate the distribution of a portion of the church offering to organizations that support people in need.
Health Ministry – promotes health and wellness (body, mind and spirit) to the church and the community through the implementation of programs such as exercise classes, the distribution of wellness materials and information, blood pressure checks, the promotion of environmental health, the prayer shawl ministry, etc.
Local & World Service – extends Christian compassion and helpfulness to the ill, the aged, the homeless, the underprivileged, the imprisoned, and to all in need of aid in body or soul, throughout our local, national and world communities.
Outreach – facilitates community outreach and events to introduce Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church and invite members of the community through marketing and social media. Also responsible for integration of new members and growing member engagement.
Care Team – actively prays for those in need and manages a prayer chain to include members of the congregation.
Property – facilitates the maintenance and repair of the church properties.
Stewardship – The Stewardship team promotes engagement by highlighting the importance of sharing time, talents and treasures. Without volunteers (time), various skillsets (talents), and contributions (treasures), we cannot meet the needs of our congregants or the community.
Technology Team – oversees the use and maintenance of the church’s computer and audio/visual systems.
Worship & Music – oversees worship by recruiting and training worship assistants such as acolytes, song leaders, lay readers, choirs, altar guild, keyboardists, etc.; furnishes music supplies appropriate for the use of worship; makes sure that worship is conducted regularly and in accordance with the liturgy of the ELCA.
