WORSHIP

admin-ajax2As individuals, we worship God every day, but at Resurrection, we gather to sing and pray, to explore the scriptures and find meaning for our daily lives, offering several different church services, so that the individuals can worship in the style that makes them most comfortable.  We offer our Traditional  Service at 8:30 a.m.  We worship at that service following the liturgy found in the hymnal.

During our Contemporary Service at 10:45am, we blend elements of the traditional liturgy with more contemporary elements.  Music is a large part of the service, with music leaders and/or the Praise Band leading us in contemporary Christian music.

At either service, Holy Communion may be celebrated weekly; and our Chancel Choir and Bell Choir offer beautiful musical arrangements to enhance our Traditional Worship experience.

Resurrection also offers special services to observe Christian holidays during the liturgical year, including Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter and Thanksgiving.  From time to time, during the year, we will also have themed services, such as Christmas in July or using a tropical theme, for example.

During the Lenten Season, starting with Ash Wednesday, we offer a Lenten Service weekly, on Wednesday evenings following our Mid-Week Meal.  We follow the beautiful Holden Evening Prayer Service at our Lenten Services.

At Thanksgiving, alternating with the Gretna Methodist Church, we offer a service the evening before Thanksgiving following a joint soup supper.
